Our fundraising football tournament is bringing Westminster businesses, youth clubs and local partners together to support children and young people across the borough.
The Lord Mayor of Westminster’s Charity Cup is taking place this October raising funds to support brighter futures for children and young people in Westminster.
Football teams from Westminster businesses, youth clubs and local authority partners will go head to head in a friendly competition for the chance to win the Cup, while raising much-needed funds to support children and young people in Westminster.
Designed as a fun, high-energy day of sport and connection, the Charity Cup is an opportunity for local organisations to come together, build relationships and show their support for Westminster’s young people.
All funding will support our next round of Brighter Futures grants – you can read more about the most recent Brighter Futures grants round here.
We are inviting Westminster businesses and other local partners to enter teams for a seven-a-side competition (you can have up to ten players in your squad).
Any and all genders are welcome to participate, and teams do not need to be expert footballers. Enthusiasm and teamwork are what matter most for this occasion.
Team entry fee: £2,000
Team size: Seven players (up to ten players in the squad)
When: 22 October 2026
Format: Fundraising football tournament
Be part of something bigger
By entering a team, your organisation will be part of a fun community experience while helping to make a meaningful difference for children and young people across the borough.
This is more than a football tournament. It is a chance to stand alongside local partners, celebrate Westminster’s community spirit and help build brighter opportunities for young people.
Places are limited, so we encourage businesses and local partners to register their interest as soon as possible. To enter a team or find out more, contact Zahid Nawaz, Business Development Lead at Young Westminster Foundation, at zahid@youngwestminster.com.
