The Lord Mayor of Westminster’s Charity Cup

Our fundraising football tournament is bringing Westminster businesses, youth clubs and local partners together to support children and young people across the borough.

About the event

The Lord Mayor of Westminster’s Charity Cup is taking place this October raising funds to support brighter futures for children and young people in Westminster.

Football teams from Westminster businesses, youth clubs and local authority partners will go head to head in a friendly competition for the chance to win the Cup, while raising much-needed funds to support children and young people in Westminster.

Designed as a fun, high-energy day of sport and connection, the Charity Cup is an opportunity for local organisations to come together, build relationships and show their support for Westminster’s young people.

All funding will support our next round of Brighter Futures grants – you can read more about the most recent Brighter Futures grants round here.

Why enter a team?

  • Make a local impact: Your entry fee will help generate vital funds for our Brighter Futures Fund grants which support children and young people across Westminster.
  • Connect with the Westminster community: Meet businesses, youth organisations and public-sector partners who care about the borough.
  • Boost team spirit: Give colleagues a memorable day out with a shared purpose beyond the workplace.
  • Show your values in action: Demonstrate your commitment to community partnership, social responsibility and local young people.
  • Compete for the Cup: Enjoy a friendly football tournament with the added excitement of playing for the Lord Mayor of Westminster’s Charity Cup.

Who can take part?

We are inviting Westminster businesses and other local partners to enter teams for a seven-a-side competition (you can have up to ten players in your squad).

Any and all genders are welcome to participate, and teams do not need to be expert footballers. Enthusiasm and teamwork are what matter most for this occasion.

Be part of something bigger

By entering a team, your organisation will be part of a fun community experience while helping to make a meaningful difference for children and young people across the borough.
