£320k awarded by Community Solutions Fund 2025-2026

Young Westminster Foundation is pleased to announce that 11 grants totalling £320,079 have been awarded to organisations across Westminster through the Community Solutions Fund.

The fund received a total of 22 applications totalling £704,672. The awarded projects were decided by a carefully selected grants panel with representation from the voluntary sector in Westminster, Westminster City Council, local young residents, Westminster MIND, and colleagues from the NHS.

The aim of the Fund is to raise awareness of mental health and improve access and uptake of mental health services and support by Global Majority young people and families.

Aligned with the aim of the grant, the Community Solutions Grants Programme will work towards five key objectives for children, young people (up to 25yrs) and families from Global Majority Communities;

  • Increased awareness of mental health (and mental health services)
  • Increased ability to have conversations about mental health
  • Increased ability to manage mental wellbeing and mental health
  • Increased likelihood of accessing mental health services
  • Improved attitudes towards mental health

This programme has been delivered in partnership with Young K&C, the Vibrant & Healthy Communities (VHC) Programme, Kensington & Chelsea Social Council, One Westminster, and NHS Northwest London ICB.
